Abstract
This research synthesizes recent advancements insmartenergy sensors, focusing on their roleingrids tabilityandener gyoptimiza
tion. It covers IoT integration for real-time data analysis, AI/ML for predictive maintenance, and efficient wireless communication
protocols. The impact on residential energy efficiency, secure data acquisition, and energy disaggregation is examined. Furthermore,
the study explores edge computing for localized processing, energy harvesting for autonomous power, blockchain for secure energy
trading, and anomaly detection for grid reliability. Cybersecurity challenges are also addressed.
