Abstract
This review highlights key advancements in solar cell technologies. Perovskite solar cells are nearing silicon efficiencies, while
perovskite-silicon tandems push beyond single-junction limits. Quantum dot and organic photovoltaics offer tunable properties and
solution-processability. Concentrator photovoltaics focus on efficiency under concentrated light. Bifacial panels increase energy
capture. Innovations in flexible and emerging technologies like DSSCs aim for low-cost, diverse applications. End-of-life recycling
and circular economy principles are also addressed.
