Abstract

Speech and language therapy are critical for post-stroke recovery, addressing communication and swallowing deficits. Interventions target aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and dysphagia. Early, intensive therapy, often incorporating technology and leveraging neuroplasticity, improves outcomes. Patient-centered care, family involvement, and continuity of care are also essential. The focus is on restoring function and enhancing quality of life.
