Abstract

This review discusses the surgical management of various congenital anomalies and acquired conditions in preterm infants. It highlights the unique physiological challenges, the importance of multidisciplinary care, and advancements in surgical techniques. Conditions covered include NEC, CDH, abdominal wall defects, congenital heart disease, anorectal malformations, airway anomalies, and urinary tract abnormalities. Perioperative nutritional support and long-term follow-up are emphasized for optimizing outcomes in these vulnerable neonates.
