Abstract
This compilation of research explores contemporary trends in chemical plant design, emphasizing sustainability, efficiency, and
safety. It covers advancements in process intensification, modular construction, digitalization, and the integration of Industry 4.0
principles. The role of microchannel reactors, inherent safety design, and optimized plant layout is discussed. Furthermore, the
research addresses energy-efficient separation processes, renewable energy integration, and life cycle assessment for minimizing
environmental footprints. Advanced modeling and simulation techniques are highlighted for optimizing specific unit operations and
overall plant performance.
