Abstract
This research consolidates advancements in biodegradable polymers, focusing on sustainable material development, enhanced degradation mechanisms, and expanded applications. Studies explore novel bio-based polymers, polylactic acid (PLA), and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), alongside blends andcomposites. Applications span packaging, biomedical uses, and consumergoods. Key research areas include material properties, environmental fate, processing techniques, and microbial degradation. The overarching aim is to mitigate plastic pollution and promote a circular economy through eco-friendly polymer solutions.
