Abstract
This research synthesizes recent advancements in pulp and paper science, emphasizing sustainable chemical and enzymatic mod
ifications. Topics covered include wood fiber enhancement, lignin valorization, cellulose nanofibril integration, nanocellulose pro
duction, recycled fiber improvement, functional additives, bio-based coatings, organosolv pulping, enzymatic bio-bleaching, and the
role of hemicelluloses. The collective work underscores a strong trend towards environmentally conscious practices and improved
material performance within the industry.
