Abstract
Telerehabilitation presents a vital solution for extending physiotherapy services to rural populations by overcoming geographical
barriers. It enhances patient adherence and outcomes through remote monitoring and tailored interventions. Challenges include
technological infrastructure, digital literacy, and reimbursement. Virtual reality and mobile health applications offer engaging and
accessible options. Cost-effectiveness and patient satisfaction are generally positive. Addressing professional shortages, training,
and policy are critical for widespread adoption and equitable access to care.
