Abstract
The HIV/AIDS epidemic has had profound and lasting effects on global health, society, and culture. Over the past three decades, significant strides have been made in the understanding, treatment, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Despite these advances, challenges remain, including stigma, access to healthcare, and the ongoing need for education and advocacy. This work reflects on the history of HIV/AIDS, highlighting key milestones in medical research, the social and political implications of the epidemic, and the resilience of those affected. AIDS over the past 30 years is marked by a struggle for survival, marked by scientific breakthroughs and the ongoing fight for equality, human rights, and better healthcare access for marginalized communities.
