Abstract
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) is crucial for optimizing drug efficacy and minimizing toxicity through individualized dos ing. Advancements in analytical techniques and PK/PD modeling are expanding its application. Population pharmacokinetic models incorporate patient covariates for refined dosing, while point-of-care testing enables rapid clinical decisions. TDM is vital for im munosuppressants, antibiotics, and psychiatric medications. Integration with pharmacogenomics and the use of machine learning/AI promise further personalization and predictive accuracy. Novel analytical platforms enhance monitoring capabilities, particularly for biologics and targeted therapies. TDM plays a significant role in oncology, optimizing treatment outcomes.
