Abstract
Aim & Objective: To develop Fonteinbiotica, a natural antibiotic based on a traditional Ayurveda recipe to tackle AMR for humans and economically important livestock. An old Ayurveda recipe shows that a group of water plants have strong antimicrobial properties and deserves to research thoroughly. One of this water plants is considered an invasive pondweed all over the globe and for that reason removed from the rivers and lakes and thrown away as waste. However, this waste can be a component for one of the answers to contribute to one of the world鈥檚 most significant challenges, and that is to find an adequate solution to solve the shortage of antibiotics and AMR. Fonteinbiotica can serve as a food additive in animal food, as a food supplement for humans and in a medicated form as a natural antibiotic to treat infections for both animal and human.

Method: Agar diffusion tests and "MIC"-tests.

Result: The tests show a clear antimicrobial result.

Conclusion: Fonteinbiotica, is an important formula for water plants that can act as a natural antibiotic based on a traditional Ayurveda recipe to tackle AMR for humans and economically important livestock.
